ESTABLISHMENT OF THE «UNIVERSITY KAZAKH RAILWAY» (KUPS)
Kups Was established in 2000 as a nonprofit public entity is not in the form of institutions, "the Kazakh University of Railway Transport" on the basis of a series of state license AA № 0000131 issued by the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, training specialists for the transport and communication complex, construction and other industries RK. The transport sector, being a multi-management, includes hundreds of different companies, feels the need for specialists in various fields. This movement organizers, vagonniki, lokomotivschiki, railway engineers, signalers, motorists, experts in the field of information systems and communications, energy, financial experts, accountants and many others.
Since 2003-2004 academic year and currently rector of the university is doctor of technical sciences, professor, academician of the International Transport Academy - Omarov Amangeldy Dzhumagalievich.
The faculty of the university is composed of leading scholars and practitioners in the transport system, which passed many stages of career growth in the transportation industry.
To meet modern international standards in higher education Kups in December 2008 successfully passed another state certification МОН РК.
In the Kazakh University of Railways are Technical and Economic College in Astana feasibility college that provides a scarce specialty transport and communications complex, and in the future - higher education at the university.
Currently, Kazakh Transport University conducts training in 11 specialties of secondary vocational education, 16, bachelor, master's and 8 specialties 4 specialties of doctoral PhD.
In 2004 the university opened Specialized Dissertation Council for doctoral dissertations in the field of: 05.22.06 - Track, research and design of railways and 5.5.04 .- Lifting and transport, construction and road machines (WAC MES order № 198 -5f of 23.04.2004 was).
Kups publishes the magazine "Industrial Vehicles Kazakhstan" and "Ekspress TMK", registered in the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2007, the journal is included in the list of publications of the Monitoring Committee of Education and Science, MES for the publication of major scientific results of theses (sections 05.00.00 - engineering, 0800. 00 - Economics).
The University has partnerships with universities, the Technical University of Applied Sciences in g.Vildau (Germany), Moscow State Technical University. Bauman, Moscow University, interdisciplinary training, St. Petersburg State Telecommunications University im.M.A.Bonch-Bruevich, Moscow State University of Railway Transport (МИИТ), St. Petersburg State University of Railway Transport (ПГУПС), Siberian State Automobile road Academy (СибАДИ), Tashkent Institute of Railway Engineers (ТашИИТ) Kirghiz State University of Construction, Transportation and Architecture (КГУСТА) and many others.
